Mauritius has a rich history of music on the island, including its traditional sega music and dancing which is mesmerizing to watch, but you’ll also find a variety of other tunes to help you relax and enjoy your evening. From flamboyant rock & rollers worthy of your devil horns to acoustic singer-songwriters, you’ll find the pleasure combined in the enthralling progressive/alternative Mauritian rock band ‘Skeptikal’. Back in 2013, Skeptikal won Nu Ravann ‘Best Local Band’ in Mauritius by public vote, also being national winner at Global Rockstar 2014 contest and voted Artist of the Day. Begun as a cover band heavily influenced by the likes of 90’s grunge bands like Nirvana and Pearl Jam, Skeptikal now compose and play out their own material, they have as of now released a single called "The Fall" and debut EP "Verification of Existence." Skeptikal performs live on Friday, 16th December 2016, from 20:30 to 22:30 at MBC, Moka.
