Manama Gulf Capital of Tourism 2016– Farewell Ceremony

Manama has been declared Capital of Gulf Tourism 2016 by the Ministers of Tourism of GCC member states, at a meeting to discuss measures aimed at boosting internal tourism in GCC countries. The ‘Manama Gulf Capital of Tourism’ initiative aims to strengthen the development of tourism between the GCC countries and its people, as well as familiarize the historic cities and civilizations of the region. Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority have assembled a showcase of exciting, entertaining and informative events to promote the Kingdom of Bahrain as one of the region’s main tourist destinations. The initiative also acts as the starting point for the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism to revitalize the tourism sector in the Kingdom; paving the way for year-round events and activities in order to attract tourists and re-energize the tourism and hospitality sector. Manama Gulf Capital of Tourism 2016 Farewell Ceremony takes place at Jebal Dukhan on Friday, 16th December, 2016.
